We’re recording this one from our “home” parked in a New Mexico campground, because we finally did it: real RV life. After years of hotels, Airbnbs, cabins, and everything in between, we took a twist on our “Roam to Home” season and went full “roam in home” with a Roadsurfer RV rental, bringing our two cats along for the ride.

We talk through what the Roadsurfer camper van and RV rental experience actually feels like, starting with the practical stuff that makes or breaks a first trip: the check-in walkthrough, the online tutorials, and the little learning curves nobody tells you about until you’re staring at a switch and wondering what tank it controls. We also share why the flexibility is the real luxury, from changing plans mid-trip to skipping the nightly hotel scramble because your bed, bathroom, and kitchen travel with you.

Then we get into our favorite RV travel tips so far: securing everything before you drive (because if it can move, it will move), adjusting to different visibility and a camera-based rearview setup, planning for wider turns and parking, and managing gas mileage, especially when the wind is doing the most. We also talk add-ons that help you pack lighter, plus why RV travel with pets feels calmer than a hotel, even with cats.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to try RV travel, this might be it. Grab the link in our show notes for Roadsurfer, then subscribe, leave a review, and share the show with a friend so more people can roam a little smarter.

Meet The Roamies And The Season

SPEAKER_01

Hi, I'm Alexa.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm Rory. And together we are the Roamies. We're a husband-wife duo and longtime travelers who believe travel isn't just about where you go. It's about how it shapes the way you live when you get home.

SPEAKER_01

On the Roamies podcast, we explore where to travel, how to travel, and why to travel through our lens of creativity, wellness, and everyday life.

SPEAKER_02

We're calling it this season Rome to Hall. As we travel near and far, we're sharing the ways we bring inspiration home.

SPEAKER_00

It's all about making travel tangible, livable, and meaningful long after the trip ends.

SPEAKER_02

So whether you're planning your next adventure or reimagining the life you're building at home, you're in the right place.

SPEAKER_00

And now, let's get into today's episode.

SPEAKER_02

Hey y'all, welcome back to another episode of the Romies Podcast.

SPEAKER_01

Woo-hoo! Today's episode is one we are very excited about. Jay is for journey.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. This whole season has been from roam to home.

SPEAKER_01

But this episode is kind of a little twist on that. Twist a little bit. But today we are roam in home. Woo! A home that roams.

SPEAKER_02

A home that is mobile, but is yet not a mobile home. We are officially on the road in an RV from Road Surfer.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, RoadSurfer.com.

SPEAKER_02

Roadsurfer.com.

SPEAKER_01

We cannot wait to tell you more about this experience. And we do have a special link that will be in the show notes that you can click.

SPEAKER_02

That you will click.

SPEAKER_01

That you will click to reserve yours, and you're gonna get a discount. So there it is for a limited time. So depending on when you're listening, you can grab that discount with our link. Regardless, we will have the information in the show notes. So no matter when you're listening, you can click on that and reserve your RV camper van, etc. Road Surfer has so many fun options and so many pickup places. It's really, really cool. So we're sharing our Road Surfer RV rental experience with practical RV travel tips, maybe some things that have surprised us and things we are learning along the way.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and we may even give a little update on our home renovation journey law. Yeah, because apparently our our life motto is like, why? So still when you could renovate a house and drive across the country in a in a house.

SPEAKER_01

Right, right. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's brand new, so there needs no renovation.

SPEAKER_01

Right. It's kind of refreshing.

SPEAKER_02

All right, here's what's coming up in today's episode. Why we decided to try RV Live.

SPEAKER_01

What stood out about the road surfer camper van rental experience?

SPEAKER_02

Things we things that we love already about it.

SPEAKER_01

Things we have had to learn quickly.

SPEAKER_02

Practical RV tips if you've never done this before, but I know you're going to because you're going to click that link.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And while this is actually an amazing glamping option.

SPEAKER_02

Why this journey feels very fitting for this season of life. This trip is taking us to New Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

With cats.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, with our cats. I mean, they live in our house, so you know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we had to bring them.

SPEAKER_02

We're in a house on the road.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So Mozzie and Ellie are here too. You just you can't hear or see them, but you'll see them on our screen. I'm scratching Mozzie's head right now.

Slow Home Renovation Reality Check

SPEAKER_01

Because he's right here with us. It's so fun. He's so happy. Yes. So before we jump into RV life, we want to quickly give you an update on our home renovation journey because people are asking us about it all the time. And they keep asking us about it because it's a very slow process.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, and we continue letting them down with no fresh information. I wish we had a more dramatic HGD, HGTV, show us our new home kind of style reveal for you, but we do not.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, our real renovation life is a lot slower than TV makes it look.

SPEAKER_02

Um, especially when you're innovating an older home while also traveling in a new home.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And working.

SPEAKER_01

So here's where things stand right now. We have done the foundation work, and that process alone has taken five years.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the ground shifts a lot in Waco, and I think we're still not completely done with that. Can I make some more adjustments? New cracks appear in the walls, and then you wait.

SPEAKER_01

You see where everything settles.

SPEAKER_02

Um, it's basically like the house says actually, I'm gonna have I'm gonna move this way now after you just finish fixing it for moving the other way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So it reveals all the little cracks, so we know where to fix the most, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we're just gonna have to let it be eventually.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We've also done plumbing updates. We have fixed immediate issues after moving in, and we have added a brand new roof.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, got a new roof. We painted the outside of the house uh what, a year ago now?

SPEAKER_01

And our gazebo is our current project, and that's more cosmetic, but also fixing it's making it stable and structurally sound.

SPEAKER_02

The 1800s structure in our yard that we are trying hard to save, maintain the history of restore and restore. Yeah. Yeah. Which has actually been kind of fun because it's something we can slowly make cozy and beautiful over a long period of time.

SPEAKER_01

But we are not home renovating constantly because as you know, we love to travel.

SPEAKER_02

Travel's a part of who we are. It's always been a part of our relationship.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and it's an important part of our life journey.

SPEAKER_02

So let's talk RV.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, let's talk roam in home this time. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Because we've stayed in hotels, Airbnbs, cabins, yurts, lighthouses. Uh-huh, lighthouses. But somehow we've never fully done RV life like this before as the Roamies.

SPEAKER_01

We used to own an RV, but that was for touring. And we are doing more of a getaway and featuring different highlights that we're going to share with you on our podcast episode.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we were doing concert tours in the other one, you know. And that this is this is very different.

SPEAKER_01

So we don't have we have not booked any concerts on this trip. Although tonight there was an option to do an open mic, and we didn't have our instruments with us, so we didn't get to but they had guys constantly playing, so they didn't know. There would not have been room for a slot for us anyway. So this is just like such a great time for us to take the RV, get away. We were gonna go to Yellowstone prior to this New Mexico trip. Yes, we took a pivot, and now we are in New Mexico with this RV.

SPEAKER_02

And the cool thing about an RV is it's not just taking a journey across the country and something. The RV's part of the journey, it's part of the vacation. Yes, not just trying to get somewhere, but the drive is an adventure as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and we are actually sharing this episode with you from the RV itself. We are sitting in it and enjoying it while we are chatting with you.

SPEAKER_02

As a matter of fact, on the way over, we stopped to get something to eat, and instead of eating in the restaurant, I brought it out and we ate at the table inside the RV because that was way cooler.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we cooler.

Flexibility And Booking Perks Explained

SPEAKER_02

I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_01

Now, one thing that we immediately noticed with the road surfer experience is the flexibility.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they've been incredibly flexible.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the so the freedom that they have is huge. You can change your plans. We've had to do that, like we had originally booked this for Yellowstone. We changed the dates. Well, we changed the pickup location location. So it's very, very flexible, and it allows you to stay longer somewhere beautiful. And you can take the scenic routes and just pull over whenever you see something cool.

SPEAKER_02

It feels for us, it feels way less ribbed rigid than how we traditionally travel, where we've got, okay, it's uh gosh, it's getting late. We better find a hotel, uh, you know, that kind of a thing. Well, we're in an RV.

SPEAKER_01

We're in the hotel. Yeah, we're in the hotel. In our home. And what's really fun is like tomorrow night, we don't have any place scheduled. So, like tonight we're staying at a campground. We did reserve that in advance. So we are connected to their water and their electricity. So that makes it really great. But tomorrow night we'll probably just find a loves and pull into a parking lot on on our route. Like when a lot of times our rhythm has been when we travel is we drive until Rory gets tired, and then we have to find a hotel, right? Like, oh, he's like, I think I'm gonna be tired in 20 minutes, find a hotel. So then I'm like cramming and trying to, you know, find something. And tomorrow night we're just gonna be like, okay, we're exhausted. Let's just put it in the world. What do we want to do?

SPEAKER_02

What do we want to do? Yeah, I mean, it's it's way, way more flexible for us.

SPEAKER_01

So that's really, really cool.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And the booking process is pretty simple.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, they have a really wide pickup location network, and so that makes things feel a lot more accessible, and loads of information alive. For for us, what is really nice and wonderful is they have a pickup location in Dallas. We live in Waco, so just a quick little hour and a half up, and we grab the RV.

SPEAKER_02

Got an RV.

SPEAKER_01

What you can do is if you want to rent the RV for a shorter time, you can book pick it up in a location that is closer to your destination as opposed to picking up to a place that's closer to home. But it's up to you, right? So you have that flexibility. And it's our understanding that this Dallas location at the time we're recording this is only two months old. So they're probably gonna be adding more locations. We can't promise that, but that's my assumption because this is such a fun concept.

SPEAKER_02

The way that they have priced it and the and yeah, huge plus is there's unlimited mileage, so you're not renting and then paying mileage. I was afraid of that. But these guys, you pay the rental price and then go. You're done. Yeah, so it's really cool, right?

SPEAKER_01

Game changer for a road trip.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, big time.

SPEAKER_01

You don't want to spend your whole trip stressed about mileage math. I mean, that that's not fun at all.

SPEAKER_02

No, also free second driver.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Love that.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. It's amazing because road trip's a lot more fun when you can switch off driving. Although in this case, I don't plan on, you know, letting her drive. No, I mean not because I've done it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, he doesn't lie, he doesn't usually have me drive our Prius. Um he just not because she can't.

SPEAKER_02

I just I'm driving and the drives aren't that far this time. And hey.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, it's just nice when you can when you have the ability and the freedom to switch drivers.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, really, really good.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

In this family freedom class C R V that we are in is a really nice setup for being your steady home base and like being somewhere for a longer period and being like living in your RV.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, it's total glamping. I mean, if you were in a tent, let's say you could easily sleep five people in here, maybe six if you put two on this where we're sitting, it turns into a bed. But I think they say it's a five sleeper, you got two over the cab, two in the back, and then one easily on this. Yeah, but it's big enough you could put two. And if the children's kids you could cram more, yeah, totally. I mean, but the thing is, it's total glamping, it's nice open spaces, and you spend your time when you're camping outside the tent. It's not like you live in the tent, but you've got this option with an air conditioning inside, and heating a full kitchen, bathroom. So even though you're kind of doing it to live outside, you've got a little house to come back to too. It's yeah, it's pretty dang awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, so and tonight we are glamping at a campground in a state park. And so Rory connected the hookups, like we mentioned.

SPEAKER_02

Super easy.

SPEAKER_01

But what was really fun is that for me we went to White Sands National Park today and I have sand all on my shoes. I don't want to get my shoes on. It's kind of cold outside, and you know, I mean, I love nature, but I also love my comfort. And so it was really fun. Like, I really needed to go to the restroom. I did not have to put on my shoes and put on a coat just to go out to go to the bathroom of the campground. No, I just went in the restroom here, easy peasy. And when we want a shower, it's just right there. The you know, we're connected to water and electricity and all of that. And so it's really, really nice that when you're stopped is when you can have your generator and have your AC and your access to your outlets. So grabbing a shower again is really easy and you don't have to get all dressed up to go in the shower to the to the bathrooms at the campsite.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, in the mornings, hauling towels around and all that sort of stuff. I mean, you can, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

But because you're at a campground, you don't have to. But if you're not at a campground, it you know, you just stay in the parking lot, you can shower toilet. So you're not dependent on any of those things. It's really, really wonderful.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, really nice. You still get adventure.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But and you're still glamping comfort. Yeah. You're glamping, you still get all of that. And you can still make your coffee.

SPEAKER_02

Like or your tea. Yeah, we we ordered their um, they came with some things in the kitchen, but we ordered an additional kitchen setup because we like to cook. So pots and pans and stuff, and it came with this wonderful solid metal French press that I'm looking forward to trying.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, very cool. And that was an add-on. We're gonna talk about some of the other add-ons that we did in just a little bit, but let's start with the check-in process and some of our learning curves.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was super easy. The guy was really helpful, easy, kind. I do want to mention, if this is your first RV trip, that you want to take your time during check-in. There's there are tutorials that videos that you watch, right? Make sure you understand everything. You check the box here, it moves you to the next one, check this box, and then the guy inside is waiting for all that to be done. It automatically comes up on his computer, boom, they're done. Then he said, Hey, you have any more questions? And but before all that, even he came out, walked us around through the RV, and showed us everything that we're also gonna watch in the tutorial. Uh though the tutorial was a bit more detailed about certain things and stuff, but it was it's kind of like an on-site quiz, right?

SPEAKER_01

It gives you hands-on. It's like, okay, now turn on the heater.

SPEAKER_02

Show me how you do that. Okay, do this.

SPEAKER_01

All right, so it's kind of like a little skills test, which is really great. But even before all that, before you even leave to get to your pickup spot, there are online video and an online tutorial that also walks.

SPEAKER_00

Watch from your house.

SPEAKER_01

Because when you are roaming in home, there are a lot of, it's just like if you were moving into a new home, you'd have to learn that home's little idiosyncrasies and how it works, and where are the light switches, and where would you turn on the water, and where is the heater? How would you turn that on? How are you gonna flush the toilet? You know, things like that. So Eric, where is it and how do you make it work? So, all of that, all of those tutorials are provided even before you even get to your check-in.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then when you get to the check-in, he walks, he does a walkthrough and shows us everything.

SPEAKER_02

So do and then we did the little uh tutorial things.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so do not rush through those tutorials because even though you do all that, you still are there's still a learning curve.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Watch, learn where everything is, how it all works, and ask any questions you have. And every time you finish one of those tutorials, little quiz things, it says, Okay, any questions? Uh you know, ask us what your question is. So very open to that.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

They want you to ask questions.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes. And there's gonna continually be new models that come out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, new RVs.

SPEAKER_01

So there little changes here. Yeah, little things will be different.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

So when you're asking what you know, what tank is this and why is that light blinking, those things are gonna be answered. So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, yeah. I think you you got a strange feeling of accomplishment doing all these little RV tasks you were learning. Yeah. And you know, like plugging something in and it and it working and charging a computer. That's nice.

SPEAKER_01

That learning curve is part of the fun.

SPEAKER_02

And the storage space. Good storage space is big enough for you to sleep in. I'm just saying, not that I'm gonna make you sleep out unless unless you start snoring again, then maybe, but yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. All right. How about some practical uh other tips that you've experienced and enjoyed on that your road surfer?

SPEAKER_02

Well, the first thing came to my mind before we left the parking lot was is everything secured? We've like she said, when we first got married, we had an RB that we that we toured in, and if something's not secured, it's going to fly. The door will open, the stuff will come out of the refrigerator.

SPEAKER_01

If it can move, it will move. That's right.

SPEAKER_02

If it can move, it'll move. Yeah. Bumps are accentuated, you know, inside. And turns also uh are accentuated the further you go back in an RV.

SPEAKER_01

Every time like we stop, or if I or even while he's driving down the road, I've gone to the fridge and things that were you know on the shelf were in the door. And uh it's fine. It's but that's just an example of the floor.

SPEAKER_02

Well, the fridge has the fridge has a little lock on it, so it's not gonna fly out of the room. It's not gonna open. Yeah. Um same with all the cabinets, and there's places, yeah, it's places to secure everything. You just make sure that the stuff you bring in you also put in a drawer, on a shelf, close it up, secure everything before you start going.

SPEAKER_01

That's or if you have your dinner on the table, um, make sure that's secure before your husband drives off.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. That's one-on-one for sure. Not gonna say that you learn that the hard way. Right. That's tip number one. Make sure everything's secure. Yeah, make sure it's all secure than your spouse and children.

SPEAKER_01

Tip number two is remember that visibility is very different.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, especially if you're used to driving a normal car. You poke out on all four sides here. So five actually, because up up top, too, you're way taller.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We were riding down the road. I w I sat in the front with Roy for a little bit. I I've kind of tried all the different places while we're riding because um, yeah, because he does all the driving, so I can just move around. Me and the cats are trying out all the spots. And I look behind, and there is a broom that is kind of behind his chair and to the left of his chair. And I was like, oh, right, there's a broom there. You know, so we just you know, trying to make a note of like, oh, okay, that's provided for us, and that's where it is. And then it occurred to me, I was like, that broom is beyond his door. And when you're driving a car, the door, the door is the end of the car, you know. But like there's still there's nothing beyond that. No, but like, you know, this is much wider than what you're used to. What's very interesting is that the rear view mirror is totally different than what you would expect in a car.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's pretty tricked out. You've got cameras all around the RV. So when you uh the rear view mirror is a camera. So when you look in the rear view mirror, it's not actually a mirror. You're looking at what's behind your RV. Even if you're not in reverse, you're driving on the road, you need a rear view mirror, what we call them. So but it's a rear view, but it's a camera. When you turn your blinker on, if you turn your left blinker on, you see out the left side of your van.

SPEAKER_01

The camera moves.

SPEAKER_02

Using your rear view monitor, the camera shifts to the camera on the left side of the RV body. It automatically in the left lane if there's anything next to you. Same when you put on your right blinker, switches over to the right lane. I've never seen that before. That was pretty cool.

SPEAKER_01

It was an adjustment, but it was a cool adjustment. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's an adjustment. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And one of the things too is that Rory pointed out, he's like, I can't see anything inside the RV. Yeah. When you're in a car, you can kind of see who's sitting behind you and you see out your rear view uh window. There's no rear window in an RV. They have these wonderful blackout blinds. And so if those blackout blinds happen to be closed while driving, it won't mess up the driver. Like you won't mess up his view because you wouldn't be able to see it anyway. So that's very, very um cool and innovative advancement with the rear view mirror. But and definitely, and it also has a microphone on it. So when like when you're backing up, yeah, you can hear things outside. The mic turns on.

SPEAKER_02

So if someone's back, if if someone's behind you and they're telling you, okay, back up a little more, a little more, and you can control the volume on it. You can totally hear them. I've I've never seen that before. Yeah, a microphone behind as part of the rear camera.

SPEAKER_01

So I can stand behind the arm and say, All right, turn left, just a little to your right.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and that way too, you know, if the l there's a little old lady in a parking lot, and you stop. I mean, like you'll hear her whether or not you are looking in your mirror, you're gonna hear it. It's really handy. Uh, turning radius is another big one too. Yeah. Uh something with vehicles and turning radiuses in me. I always like to see what it is when I'm in a new car that I'm not familiar with. Yeah. So RVs have a wide turning radius. I mean, you just get used to it. It's it's not like a car, it's it's even more than a truck. If you've ever been driven a big box truck, it's more like that.

SPEAKER_01

I I felt like we took several turns today that felt like tight turns, and they felt like tight turns for an RV, and it seemed like you had no issue doing that. So that was kind of cool.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's got a good it's got a good turning radius for an RV. Absolutely. It's just not like a car. Like it's not like our Prius.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. And I think you had um the steering felt a little different because you just have a different vehicle.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Uh what about parking changes? Little adjustments there.

SPEAKER_02

Well, like we said, we're a lot wider than a normal car. So a lot longer. It can just about fit into a parking space, but not really. So you need to take up two. Uh not just front and back, but left to right. You're gonna be taking up multiple spaces. Uh, I mean, you can try not to, but people parking next to you will not be happy if they got to pull a next to you in a parking spot because nobody's gonna be able to open their doors. So park, but what you do is you park further away than you would normally park, find a bunch of open spaces and use those. I mean, it's common sense when in traveling in an RV. Or if you're pulling a trailer, you have to do the same thing. A boat, trailer, whatever. Same idea.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, another thing too, plan to take your time. Uh, mileage is very different in an RV. So you might get, you know, eight to ten, ten if you're doing really well. But one thing you'll find is you want to keep the speed down on your RV to keep your mileage. We've been averaging around eight. That's with the wind we've been facing here in New Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

We are in big wind right now.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, red flag, level five winds or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So that's that's making uh it makes the driving a little more.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we're driving a giant box. Yeah. That wind will blow you out.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so this has a lot of good help with that.

SPEAKER_02

They're yeah, it's been fine. Uh, you just have to be careful. Pay attention when you're driving. Don't drive overly fast. Uh, you know, like I said, keep your speed down. Don't be in a hurry. Take your time. That's why you're in an RV. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So you'd have to race around. Enjoy the journey.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, enjoy the journey. Enjoy surfing the roads.

SPEAKER_01

Another kind of fun tip is that you can pack much lighter than you think, especially if you order some of the add-ons that they offer. Then you're not having to bring bedding and you're not having to bring a whole kitchen. Yeah, they provide a bring things in, can definitely pack a lot lighter. There is a lot of storage space in this unit, and there are a lot of places to put your things. But again, if you pack light, it just makes everything even easier.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, plenty of storage space.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Um, and then I think you should maybe plan less than you normally would as well, and allow room for spontaneity. Yeah. And uh this sort of like it gives you the road surfer gives you so much freedom that you want to have the freedom in your schedule to to take advantage of that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. I don't know why, but it reminds me, makes me think of riding the train in Europe when you just get off when you want. You've got a Europass. You get back on when you want. You don't have to, you know, no schedule you have to follow. An RV kind of feels a little bit like that. Right. Yeah, go when you want, take your time, stop when you want. Hey, take a nap. You got a bed. Pretty cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, take your time because sometimes the best moments happen between your destinations, particularly in an RV.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. And the journey is who you enjoy it with. And we get to bring our whole family because one of those cool add-ons that we added was the pet add-ons.

SPEAKER_02

They are pet friends.

SPEAKER_01

And so most people will bring a dog, but we have our two cats with us.

SPEAKER_02

And they are digging it.

SPEAKER_01

They find their place. Mozzie is on the bed. Yeah, they have their little nooks and crannies that they're finding. And it's it's uh really fun that we don't have to leave them at home. We don't have to pay a pet sitter. We can bring them with us. And we even took Mozzie out to look at the stars with us tonight. And he was just purring away, and he was so happy just to kind of know that we're home in this home.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and we got back in, and it wasn't like in a hotel room. He's a little, he's always like pacing the hotel room, and you can tell he's a little bit uptight. He came in tonight, but he's just like, Yeah, he sat down. Uh we we got on the bench here next to the table and he got up on the table and just laid down in front of us. Like, yeah, y'all are gonna record. I'm just gonna layer. He's so chilled, but now he's on the bed back there, which I'm gonna make him move because we're gonna go to bed soon. That's my bed.

SPEAKER_01

And the beds are like nice and firm and comfy, and and so that's really, really funny.

SPEAKER_02

I'm looking forward to it. Okay, so in life, people are always wondering what is my purpose in life? I'm looking for a sign to show me what I should do next. You know, so I would say if you've ever thought about RV travel, this might be your sign.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Especially if you like flexibility, adventure, scenic drives, spontaneous stops, the freedom, and the idea of taking your little home along for the ride.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know any, I mean, that list you named. I don't know anyone who's against that stuff when they're traveling. That's all really nice.

SPEAKER_01

And you don't have to lug your suitcase from one place to another.

SPEAKER_02

You're you move in, you put your stuff in drawers, you hang it in a closet.

SPEAKER_01

It's super great. Everything is in its place.

SPEAKER_02

Really cool.

SPEAKER_01

And uh your hotel's with you. So really great.

SPEAKER_02

And we can thank Road Surfer for that. So huge thanks.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

I mean huge thanks to Roadsurfer Surfer for this amazing RV.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_01

And uh yeah, you'll get that discount.

SPEAKER_02

So let us know if you if you book a road surfer, let us know. That'd be so super cool fun because they they have these RVs, but they also have camper vans.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Now, here's the thing too, y'all. They are not just in the US, right? They they're actually a European-based company, and they are now just expanding into the US. And so what we are excited about is being able to use them on our trips and concert tours in Europe. So cool. So there are so many options and they're just growing. And so always just keep following, keep following us, follow them, and we want to keep in touch with you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we want to hear where you go. And remember, it's not always about the destination because sometimes the journey itself becomes the destination. I'm so deep.

SPEAKER_01

The roam is in your home.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, the roam is in your room.

SPEAKER_01

The home is in your roam, and your roam is in your home.

SPEAKER_02

The duck is in your room. The eagle has landed.

SPEAKER_01

You roam and your road surfer home.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. That's what we're doing. Roam and our road surf roam. We are officially road surfers.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Woo-hoo!
